Will RCD Espanyol continue their impressive start to the season?

Last weekend, Blanquiazules came from behind twice to beat bottom of the table Levante 4-3 in a thriller at RCDE Stadium.

Sergi Darder and Raúl de Tomás both on target before Javi Puado’s late brace secured the victory.

This means Vicente Moreno’s side start the weekend in ninth place having only lost three of their last ten, winning five of those.

Will the Catalan side now win back-to-back league games for the first time since October?

Celta de Vigo meanwhile are five places and six points worse off than their visitors.

O Celtiña have now only won one of their last seven league matches following last Saturday’s goalless draw with RCD Mallorca at Son Moix.

Thus, Eduardo Coudet’s men are just four point above danger.

Both clubs were in Copa del Rey action on Tuesday night with both, just about, beating lower-league opposition.

Celta de Vigo needed extra time to defeat FC Andorra 2-1 with José Fontán scoring and then Santi Mina netting the winner in the additional half hour.

Espanyol meanwhile also won by the same scoreline, beating Palencia Cristo Atlético, with Wǔ Lěi and Sergi Gómez on target.

Back in La Liga, will there be a winner in this Friday night fixture at Balaídos?
